a cute baby was born in yuroido
where this lilte town is on the sea
of japan. her name is chiyo. her father
sakamoto was a fisherman
because of their poverty, a man called mr tanaka
took chiyo to the train station. then a friend
of mr tanaka took her to kyoto. she was ten years
old at that time. she stayed at mrs nitta's house.
she worked there, did some housework with her
new friend which name is pumpkin.
there was a beautiful geisha, called hatsumomo
that lived in the same place as well. she didn't
like chiyo very much. not only chiyo that
hatsumomo hated a lot, but also a charming
geisha, mameha.
Mameha aske mrs nitta that she wanted chiyo as
her younger sister. therefore, she as the older
sister could take chiyo to entertaint. to make
a good entertaint chiyo should go to geisha school.
in that place, she learnt how to sing, play some
japanese instruments, dance and so on.
before chiyo became a real geisha, she was a novice
geisha. she was no longer known as chiyo. she was
called sayuri. after attending on lots of parties,
she became well known.
eventhough sayuri was very famous, her heart just
only to a handsome kindness man whose name is
chairman. he has been stealing her heart in the
first time they met and she has been keeping
chairman's handkerchief for such a long time.
after that she moved to new york and
stayed there until the end of her life.
